Ordering Prints And Gifts
Pixplug prints and gifts are of the highest quality available. We use Kodak
Ektacolor Edge and Kodak Professional Edura papers for our prints. Each item is hand inspected before it is carefully packaged and shipped to you.
How to Order Prints and Gifts
When you or your site visitors are viewing photos in your album there is a button at the top of the page that you can click to add the currently viewed photo to your cart:

When you click on the Add to Cart button on the Album Viewer page the photo you are looking at will appear inside a new pop-up window:

Use this interface to order as many different items as you want for this photo. To add an item simply increase the quantity from zero to one, for example, and when you checkout one copy of the photo will be placed on the item you have selected.
At the top of the pop-up you can choose to order Photo Prints or Photo Gifts by clicking on the appropriate tab:

If you want to add another photo to your cart click the Close button at the bottom of the interface, navigate to another photo using the Album Viewer and then repeat the process by clicking the Add to Cart button again.
Reviewing Your Order
When you are ready to complete your purchase click the Checkout button at the bottom of the cart pop-up. You will be shown the following screen:

Cropping Photos
We recommend that you preview the crop for each photo to make sure it meets your needs. Click the Crop Photo button next to each item to review and adjust the crop.
Edit Cart
Click the Edit Cart button if you want to change the item the photo is being appied to or if you want to add more items to your cart for that photo.
Delete Item
To remove an item from your cart click the Delete Item button.
Back Printing a Message
For photo prints such as a 4 x 6, 5 x 7, etc ... you can place a short 40 character message on the back of the print you order. Many users like this feature as they can enter in a copyright or a short message describing who is in the photo or where it was taken or by whom. You can type until a pop-up message appears telling you that you have reached 40 characters (this makes it easy as you don't have to keep count of the letters). Canvas prints, Chromalux or other specialty prints don't offer backprinting.
Checking Out
After you have reviewed the crop applied to the photos and you are ready to complete your order, click the Checkout button again and you will be taken to the Pixplug shopping cart page where you can enter in your purchase information, where you want the order to be shipped to, etc ...
Photo Print Quality
Our print quality is outstanding but it does require that you start with a good photo to begin with. If your photo is out of focus or has bad colors to begin with, the printing process will not improve your photo.
There are two types of papers we use: Kodak Ektacolor Edge paper for Matte and Gloss prints and then we use Kodak Professional Endura paper for the Lustre prints.
Each paper provides high-quality results with the Endura being slightly superior in the finish and longevity it offers. Lustre is a bit more expensive than the Matte and Gloss finishes. We recommend the Lustre as we like how it looks and feels to the touch. The surface is smooth and resists fingerprints like the glossy but the sheen is not as reflective as a glossy print so you get the best of both world - endurance and protection from Lustre.
