Homepage Layout
Pixplug lets you arrange your homepage layout so you can move items around to order them as you want them to appear on the page. You can also Activate or Deactivate any of the pods on the homepage. A pod is a container that adds functionality to your page. An example of a pod would be the Featured Photos pod.
Site Manager > Page Settings > Homepage Layout
To change the homepage layout or to activate / deactivate pods, go to the Site Manager > Page Settings > Homepage Layout page. You will see the following items on this page:

Arrange the Order of the pods
To change the order of the items on your homepage all you have to do is click and drag the items on this page up and down in their columns and when they are positioned where you want them to be, drop them into place:

Edit or Activate / Deactivate pods
Each pod has a convenient link on it allowing you to click to Edit the pod:

Clicking Edit will take you to the management page for that pod.
You can also Deactivate a pod (turning it off so it does not show on the homepage) by clicking the Deactivate link in the pod:

After you click the Deactivate link the pod will update to say Activate:

Your changes will only take place when you click the Apply button. We recommend before you leave this page that you click the Apply button or else your changes will not be applied to your site.

About The Homepage pods
Each pod serves a different purpose. Here is a description for what each pod does:
Microshow
This pod will play a microshow (mini-slideshow) that you have selected to appear on your homepage. The way you set which album and microshow appears on your homepage is to go to the Album Manager > Presentation Controls > Select Microshow page. Select a microshow by clicking the Apply link under the microshow then at the top of the page turn on the checkbox called Make Homepage Microshow.

Most Recent Albums
This pod will automatically display the most recent albums you have created or have updated. This pod is great for keeping site visitors who are returning to your site current on your latest updates and albums you have added to your site. It does this automatically if it is activated so you don't have to do any work to have your homepage updated with your most recent work. The thumbnail sized photos that are displayed in this pod are taken from the Album Cover Image that you setup for each of your albums. The Album Cover Image is defined on the Album Manager > Album Controls > Album Cover Image page:

Favorite Photos
This pod lets you show your favorite photos on your homepage. To setup the favorite photos click the Edit link on this pod:

Favorite Albums
This pod lets you show your favorite albums to your visitors. When they click on the album cover image that is shown on the homepage they go directly to the Album Photos page.
To edit this pod click on the link inside the pod:

Video
If you have a favorite video you can upload it to YouTube and then display it on your homepage using this pod.

When you click the Edit link you will be taken to the Site Manager > Page Settings > Homepage Video page where you can enter in the embedding code for the video you want to have displayed on your homepage.
Profile
Your profile lets you include a photo, personal information and some about text to describe yourself.

When you click the Edit link you will be taken to the Site Manager > Page Settings > Profile Basics page where you can select a profile photo and enter in your personal information.
Featured Album
The Featured Album pod lets
you place a slideshow of the featured album where it will play on your homepage. Visitors to your site can watch the slideshow and click through to view the photos inside the slideshow in an Album Viewer.

Friends
The Friends pod on the homepage displays a list of the friends you have given permission to join your site. When the viewer rolls over the Friends link the profile photo of your friend will be displayed. When the visitor clicks on the Friend link they are taken to the Friends page on your site and can view information about your friend.

When you click on the Edit link you will be taken to the Site Manager > Page Settings > Manage Friends page. On this page you can define the permissions you allow for each friend so they can view your site and photos, contribute to your site with content of their own or help you administer the site.
Tags
The Tags pod is a great way to let you and your site visitors find and view photos that you have tagged. Tagging is a simple method to associate keywords with a photo such as a person's name or the name of an event. The Tags pod lists all of the tags you have setup for your photos. When a tag link is clicked on Pixplug will create an album on-the-fly with all the photos that use the tag you clicked on.

As tags are created and are associated with different photos you cannot edit tags so there is no Edit link for this pod.
Categories
The Categories pod lists all the different album categories you have created. An album category is a topic that you can associate with an album such as Vacations. Each album that you create from different vacations you have been to can be listed under the Album Category: Vacations. When the user clicks on the album category Vacations they will be shown a page that has each vacation album you have created. From there the user can click to view the albums and photos they want.

As categories are created and are associated with different photos you cannot edit categories so there is no Edit link for this pod.
