Album Manager > Photo Controls > Add Photos
The most common place to upload photos from is the Album Manager. Go to to the Album Manager and select an album you want to upload some photos to. Click the Album Manager > Photo Controls > Add Photos link:

This will bring up the Add Photos page for the Album you are currently working in. You will see the Pixplug Upload control on the page. Click on the Browse for Photos button.

After clicking the Browse for Photos button you will see a Select Files window appear.

Depending on if you are running Windows, Mac or Linux, you can use different keys on the keyboard to let you select multiple photos. On Windows you can click the Control (Ctrl) key to select specific files within a folder or you can Shift and drag to select a group of photos. Whichever method works for your operating system, use it to select a group of photos to add to the uploader. You can literally select hundreds of photos and upload them in one session using the Pixplug uploader. Keep in mind though that while the photos are uploading you CANNOT change pages or close your browser.

For this example I've selected six pictures from a trip I took to Paris, France a few years ago. I used the View Menu in the dialog to change the view from list to Thumbnails so I could see what photos I wanted to pick out.

After the photos were selected I pressed the Open button on the dialog and the photos showed up in the uploader. It is important to note that the uploader will only support .jpg, .jpeg, .gif and .png files. You have to convert your files to one of these formats if it is something else before you try to upload them, otherwise our uploader won't recognize them and will not show them to you in the Select Files window.

Below is how the files look when they came into the uploader:

Now that they are in the uploader I can do myself a huge favor and make life easier. I can TAG the photos with some names so that when I want to search or pull up photos by the tag name, it is already done for me. This is very easy to do and works great if all the photos you have selected fall under the same subject matter. A TAG is simply a way to associate a keyword with the photo so that you can look for the photos later.

In this case all of my photos were taken while I was in vacation in Paris which is located in France. So I am going to enter in three tags: Paris; France; Vacations. I separate each tag with a semicolon ;

Tip: You can have multiple words like My Vacations or Paris France 2008 and the entire tag is made up of the string of words. The semicolon is what separates the tags so you can use spaces or numbers or even phrases if you want to while tagging your photos. Cool huh?

Now I'm going to upload the photos by clicking the Upload Photos button.

As soon as I click this button the upload starts happening. Each photo is uploaded in the order that it appears in the list. You can cancel the upload at anytime by clicking the Cancel Upload button. The photos that have already been uploaded will still be processed. The ones left in the list will not be uploaded when you click the Cancel button.

You can see the progress of the upload and the photo that is going up. As each photo is uploaded it is removed from the list.

If there is an error such as if your connection to the internet is interupted or if the file has problems or there is a server error, etc ... you will be given an alert at the end of the upload and any files that did not make it up will still be in the list.

When the upload is complete you will see the Upload complete message and a full progress bar.
